HCG cassette

Item Code: Features:
  • Description

Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a glycoprotein hormone composed of 237 amino acids and produced by the placenta during pregnancy. The increased HCG can be detected as early as 8 or 11 days after conception. If the pregnancy is progressing without any major health complications, the level of HCG will almost double every two days for the first 10 weeks. It decreases slightly at around the sixteenth week and thereafter remains constant until birth. Therefore, HCG test can be used as early pregnancy diagnosis.

HCG can also be used as a tumor marker as its β subunit can also be secreted by some cancers (e.g., seminoma, choriocarcinoma, germ cell tumors, hydatidiform mole formation, islet cell tumor).

GP HCG Fast Test Kit applies fluorescence immunochromatography to detect human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in serum quantitatively. This test is used as an early pregnancy diagnosis.
